Ingredients:
-
450g fresh strawberries
-
5 leaves gelatine (or 1tbsp gelatine powder)
-
100ml hot water
Method:
-
Juice 350g of the strawberries (If you don’t have a juicer blend strawberries in a high speed blender and pour through a strainer instead)
-
Slice the remaining 100g of strawberries thinly
-
Place gelatine leaves in a bowel and cover with cold water. Soak for 5 min. Drain gelatine leaves of all excess water and place back into the bowel after discarding all cold water
-
Pour 100ml how water over gelatine and whisk until dissolved
-
Pour in strawberry juice and whisk gently until well combined
-
Pour the liquid jelly into containers and add the sliced strawberries
-
Place in fridge and cool for 2h
Notes:
-
You can make this jelly with other fruit too. If you can’t be bothered making your own juice buy the juice in the shops and use about 200- 250ml instead
-
If you want your jelly sweeter add some liquefied honey after you have dissolved the gelatine in hot water
-
Gelatine is a superfood for your gut and vital for strong bones & tendons
