Warming sweet potato porridge
In winter we simply feel like eating more warming foods than in summer.
Try this delicious sweet potato porridge - perfect to eat post workout.
Ingredients: (serves 4)

550g raw sweet potato

1 large carrot
-
120g (mix of) rice flakes/ millet flakes or use oats

2.5 tsp cinnamon
-
300ml raw almond milk or milk of choice

200ml water
-
2 tsp honey or maple syrup
Method:

Cut the sweet potato and carrot into cubes. Steam until softened.

Mash the flesh of sweet potato and carrot using a fork

Add all remaining ingredients apart from your sweetener: flakes, cinnamon, milk, water

Bring porridge to boil and stir frequently. Cook for about 5 min.

Add maple syrup and stir in well.

Top with your favourite berries/ cinnamon or have it plain as is
