If you want to buy granola in the shops it's super expensive so why not make your own at home? It's so simple and you can eat the first serve warm if you want ;-)
Here is the recipe:
Ingredients:
-
2 cups (70g) coconut flakes
-
1 cup (75g) walnuts
-
1 cup (110g) macadamias
-
2 tbsp (15g) chia seeds
-
1 cup mixed seeds: sunflower and pepitas (140g)
-
1.5 cups bukinis (220g)
-
2.5 tbsp maple syrup (40g)
-
3 tbsp liquefied coconut oil (30g)
-
2 tsp cinnamon
-
1 tsp ground ginger
-
3/4 tsp ground cardamon
Method:
-
Preheat oven to 160’
-
Combine all ingredients apart from the coconut oil and maple syrup in a large mixing bowel
-
Mix well using your hands
-
Drizzle the maple syrup and liquid coconut oil over your granola and pour on an oven tray lined with baking paper
-
Place tray in the oven and roast for 15-18min.
-
Store in a glass container
This makes 650g of granola (13 serves).
Per 50g serve your macros would be: 6g Protein, 12g Carbs, 22g Fats or 280cal.
Enjoy!
