Sign No.1 – Success or Failure?
WHAT YOU ARE DOING RIGHT NOW
What you are doing right now is the best indicator for where your headspace is at. There’s a difference between ‘taking a break over Christmas and giving your body time to recover’ and ‘telling yourself that you can start back in full swing next year’.
The first example is setting you up for success and the second for failure.
Why?
Because taking a break will not interfere with getting back into it afterwards. Your mindset is strong and established!
If you’re telling yourself that you’ll start back in full swing next year you haven’t overcome what’s truly holding you back!
Sign No.2- Success or Failure?
MAKING EXCUSES FOR WHY YOU HAVEN’T ACHIEVED YOUR GOALS YET
You didn’t get there this year… You set yourself out to achieve so much but it just hasn’t really happened.
Instead of looking at the ‘why’ objectively you withdraw and tell yourself that it actually wasn’t that important. You also lose trust in your abilities to get there.
Being in this headspace is setting you up for failure.
Overcoming your excuses and being courageous in resetting your mindset is setting you up for success.
Sign No.3- Success or Failure?
DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU WANT?
Knowing what you want and putting goals down on paper is setting you up for success. Plotting along and never committing to anything is leaving you empty and setting you up for failure.
Often it’s a lack of self-efficacy that holds you back from setting goals. Deep down you’re not sure whether you can get there.
You can now decide whether to overcome this fear, build self-efficacy and confidence or whether you remain plotting along.
